Strategy for building... Go deep... not wide!

Below is a conversation I had with Cheryl Gober. Brit and Cheryl opened up the US market just this past March and already have some 10,000+ account holders in their network as of date of this post. (around half of those are in the US. The rest in other countries) That is less then 7 months folks!! So things have gone very fast to say the least. When things open up here in the next 2 to 3 months, they will be in very good shape, to say the least.

My conversation with Cheryl was regarding strategy in building and maxing out the referral bonus structure KB offers. The bottom line is you want to have 3 *legs of account holders wide and then build as deep as you can go with at least one of those legs. Going *deep on all three is better yet. You can go *wider but if you are like me, this is not a full time effort. In fact, so far it’s been a very part time effort due to other responsibilities and obligations I have. Nevertheless, in just 2 weeks we already have 10 direct accounts set up, with another 5 or 6 ready to sign up and probably another 10-second level accounts and below. if all of these fund, I am already at the $500 customer acquisition bonus (CAB) per account once things come online in the US. That means anyone I refer from here forward who opens an account and commits to funding it I am paid $500 per over the length of their funding their first $4000 US into their account. If they deposit that much in a year, I will have $500 placed into my account in a year. If two years, then my referral bonus is spread over two years and so on.

*Even though I am talking about leg’s, and going wide and deep etc, technically this is not an MLM, but more of a networking structure. There is a difference. Unlike MLM’s there is no cost to open an account and you don’t even have to use the service yourself (why anyone wouldn’t I am not sure) to refer it or to be paid referral bonuses. (if fact this will qualify and may be registered in the US as an affiliate program instead of an MLM. The marketing structure and comp plan have been approved however as an MLM in all states)

In other words, to be “in” KB Gold you must have a free account in order to refer it to others but you don’t have to actually make deposits into your savings account if you don’t wish to, EVER. However, if the folks you refer make deposits, you will still receive referral bonuses.

Now be sure you get this. If for whatever reason you are not able to start funding your account once things open up here, the referral bonuses generated by the accounts you refer can fund your account for you without you coming out of pocket to do it yourself. In short order you could have hundreds of dollars in gold or silver going into your savings account on a regular basis without you ever putting in one dime as long as the folks you refer make deposits themselves. So if you can't put anything in yourself start referring as many folks as you know who can

Now to our conversation. Any questions, let me know.

[1:28:00 PM] me: Quick question. What is your recommendation on how to build this. Based on how I understand the plan you want to be at least 6 wide and then build depth. Boomer however feels it's best to go deep on one leg, then do a second and go deep and so on. That sounds more like a binary type set up which this doesn't appear to be.  I have no idea frankly. So wondering what your thoughts are.

[2:29:11 PM] Cherylanne Gober: I think you  focus on three legs and build depth. The volume within the three legs catapult you up the commission ladder.  The volume in each leg also pushes you up into the higher mini pools which equal more and more shares...  You can reach the second tier (green section) of the pay plan with only one leg...The top tier(gold)...is where you start to see "qualifications" for three separate legs.  In the bonus pools, you can reach the 5th of 8 levels in the mini pools with 2 legs... Mini Pool 6 - 7- 8- you will need three legs.  Key is volume...You can have a leg with 1/2 the partners than another leg but produce more volume/points than the first leg.  1 euro = 1 pt

[3:20:00 PM] me: k, thx. That helps. So I am thinking it’s best go wide until I see three legs really growing. Once I know I have three really going, then start placing folks underneath folks. Does that make sense?

[3:27:03 PM] Cherylanne Gober: :D  Makes all the sense in the world to me.  Better odds with more legs..but kinda keep them reigned in to no more than that right now.

[3:28:00 PM] me: k. Also sounds like once I have three strong legs to focus on making sure just one of those legs goes deep

[3:28:40 PM] Cherylanne Gober: Right...leadership...motivate, inspire, educate...

[3:30:02 PM] me: or at least place folks under one until it does. Then once that has some depth start building depth under a second leg. Soooo, there is NO advantage in going wider then 3 as far as the comp plan goes, right i.e. going wide only increases my odds of having three strong legs but doesn't help me max out the comp plan itself. Correct?

[3:31:16 PM] Cherylanne Gober: That's it...other than the fact after you have depth and momentum...you can start over with other legs and capture CABS & Residuals and spreads and build them up...keep it going... (party)

[3:34:44 PM] me: k, that helps a lot. I know I have one that's going to drive deep with another 3 or 4 others with potential. Once I see all three humming we will start to focus on driving it depth.
